Into the World
It grips me like a vice
The cursed stranglehold that won’t let go,
And I am forced to move towards my doom,
I know not where I go,
And all my memories are fading fast,
They slip away from me.
I stretch my mind, I strive to grasp,
They slip away from me.
I lose, I lose who I was,
I lose who I was.
I lose, I knew who I was,
I lose who I was.
The walls come crashing in.
They crush me as they push me down
Towards the light, towards the stinging air
That will be my new home.
And I feel lost among the endless space,
The hands that pull me through
Towards forgetfulness. Air sears my lungs,
I cry for what I knew.
I knew, I knew who I was,
I knew who I was.
I knew, I knew who I was,
I knew who I was.
Who I was.
